Love this so far

So got this as an athletic mid layer for a climbing trip to Rjukan. I’m 182cm and 85kg and this is perfect. Slim fit with long, long arms. TBH I’ve barely had it off so far. Warm (but I run hot) and whilst snug, it does not seem to restrict movement at all. Love the attention to detail and quality seems bang on. Can’t stress how much I love this jacket - oh the hood is a great Forming a tight neck seal when not deployed. Hoofing!

well designed and manufactured outdoor clothing

This is the second ALFAR we have bought, the first one for my wife was so good I wanted one myself. We walk on the fells every day in all weather day and night, and this is a brilliant bit of kit for autumn, winter and spring. On its own or as mid layer it ticks all of the boxes. The details of the design, has clearly been developed by people who are familiar with the outdoors and what is needed and not needed. I was in the mountain rescue for 20 years and have experienced a lot of different gear being exposed to different conditions/uses, some survive and quite a lot does not. I wish I had, had this top during that period. The manufacturing detail and quality is second to none. It seems expensive but once used for a few times you realise you get what you have paid for. If you ever wonder about 'is Jottnar worth the money' take it from us.....it is, and you won't be disappointed. Take the plunge get on board with the brilliant British brand.

Amazing!

What an absolutely awesome piece of kit! It’s my first Jöttnar product and will definitely not be the last! From the moment you open the packaging it oozes quality then the fit is so perfect! I am wearing It just over a tee shirt for long dog walks everyday and as a mid layer under a down jacket for long days out in the cold and it is just perfect! Definitely go by the size guide which seems spot on! 6ft, 155lb, 39 chest, 31 waist and was correctly advised a small.
Thanks for a great product and customer service! Can’t wait for my next purchase!

Most versatile garment I have ever owned

Have the original green version which is now probably 3 years old (maybe more) and it still looks immaculate and is in almost daily use with the exception of summer. I tend to run quite warm so it generally find the Alfar is sufficient as an outer over a base layer. I do have the Fjorm jacket but unless it is exceptionally cold, generally the Alfar is sufficient for me when active or moving. I have used it for walking, climbing, orienteering, kayaking and the daily commute and it does it all exceptionally well. There are a few elastic fibres poking out round the wrists/thumb loops and very slight bobbling over the high wear areas on the back / shoulder but otherwise looks fairly new. For the length of time I have had it and the abuse it has endured it has worn exceptionally well which is a testament to the quality of the jacket.
I'm a 41" chest and 31" waist with the medium fitting perfectly.
Well done Jottnar! Would buy another straight away if this one ever gives up!

5 star quality

Excellent product all round . Only issue I have is the medium size is perfect for me , although the zip up to the neck is too tight
